Vibrant Flower Cake

Crazy Socks/Bows

The theme for this girls' birthday party was crazy socks and big bows!

Smurfette Cake

This was my first attempt at drawing a freehand design on a sheet cake. Lots of fun!

Barbie Cake

Barbie's dress is made out of marshmallow fondant with buttercream icing details. The flowers are also fondant.

Princess Cupcakes

These cupcakes were made for a Royal Wedding Watching Party!

40th Birthday

I designed this cake for one of my best friends, Christina. The bottom layer represents her girly/feminine side. I made the middle layer zebra-print because she has a little bit of sass! The top layer is a cupcake because she's so sweet! I love you Christina! Happy 40th!

Tinkerbell Cupcakes

This is a new technique I learned to make an edible liner for my large cupcake pan. I poured melted chocolate into the pan to form a mold. Voila! I filled it with cake and iced everything with vanilla buttercream. Fondant flowers made this look like a fairy garden!

40th Birthday

My customer wanted this cake to be blinged-out with lots of colorful decorations! I matched the fondant colors to the fun decor. A fondant braid and hand-formed balls framed each layer nicely.

Birthday Princess

I can't take all the credit for this cake. My friend, Julie, asked me to help her decorate her daughter's birthday cake. I showed her how to make the fondant roses and leaves/bows. Good job Julie!

Salon-Themed Birthday

This cake was so much fun! The birthday girl wanted a huge nail polish bottle atop a zebra-print cake. I developed a new recipe for the black fondant...normally it is quite bitter, but this recipe is smooth and chocolately. The feather boa and plastic pearls added some drama.

Flowers and Butterflies Birthday Cake

The five-year-old girl that I made this cake for wanted a "happy" cake with colorful flowers, butterflies, bumble bees, and a rainbow!

Ballerina Cake

I can't describe how much joy it gave me to make this cake for my daughter's first ballet recital! The look on her face was priceless when she saw it for the first time. Literally speechless. The ballerina is a fake Wilton doll with a fondant foot. The top of her tutu is a thin rolled piece of fondant with buttercream ruffles underneath. Grace wanted a pink cake inside, so I baked a fresh strawberry cake with strawberry buttercream filling and cream cheese icing.

Cupcake-Themed Birthday Cake

My daughter is celebrating her 5th birthday this month, and she recently had her cupcake-themed party! She requested a chocolate cupcake cake with lots of colors. I used my special cupcake pan for the top. The bottom two layers are covered and decorated with colored fondant.

Teddy Bear Tiered Cake

This cute tiered cake features a fondant teddy bear on top. Everything is edible except for the ribbon around the middle. It could also be customized to make a precious baby shower cake.

Rose Birthday Cake

The roses on this cake are handmade with Hershey's Kisses in the middle!
