Scavenger Hunt Cakes

These cakes are for a church Youth Christmas Party. They had an elaborate holiday scavenger hunt, so I incorporated it into the theme of the cakes!

Christmas Lights

I made this cake for an auction benefiting the benevolence ministry at our church. It fetched a high price!

Appreciation Cupcakes

I made these cupcakes for the Preschool Ministry Team at my church. They were Christmas-themed, but I used hearts to decorate since they were made in appreciation of all their hard work and dedication!

Brandy Alexander Cheesecake

For our Thanksgiving dinner, I made a Brandy Alexander cheesecake! It has a chocolate cookie crust and a light chocolate cheesecake filling with delicious flavorings. A dark chocolate swirl on top made it extra-rich. Very yummy!

Happy Birthday Robyn

I didn't realize it when I was fulfilling this cake order, but Robyn was a former student of mine. I love it when I realize what a small world we live in! The talented trumpet player in my middle school band is now a beautiful 28-year-old woman. This is a white chocolate cake with white chocolate icing and fondant accents.

Luggage Retirement Cake

I made this cake for the sweet music ministry secretary in our church. She is enjoying her retirement by traveling and visiting her numerous grandchildren! I was asked to create a cake that fit with the travel/grandkids theme. The two luggage cakes are covered with homemade marshmallow fondant and decorated with molding chocolate. The stickers repreresent all the places Sherrie will travel to visit her grandkids! I added a letter and a cup of coffee as a whimsical touch.

Zebra Birthday

I learned a couple of new techniques while I was making this birthday cake. First, I perfected my black fondant recipe. Instead of being bitter with tons of black food coloring, I used more dark chocolate and the result was that it tasted like....dark chocolate! I also made fondant roses for the first time. They are so much faster and easier than the traditional Wilton icing roses. Estelle loved the cake!
